Maryam Fakhri
Ujima’s Director, Maryam Fakhri, heads Ujima’s Georgetown office. She was born in New Zealand to Lebanese parents, and at the age of 14 started working in her family’s businesses. She learned first-hand from the elders in her extended family, whose business acumen and ability to combine their various talents was, in her words, ‘poetry in motion’, and says ‘trading is in her blood’. She holds a BA and Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and worked for many years in the areas of inter-cultural communication, diversity management and organizational development. This combined with her hands on experience in business, provided her with the necessary tools to develop Ujima into a thriving international investment group. A global citizen, having lived and worked on five continents over the past 25 years, she is married to a Guyanese, and was immediately impressed with the incredible untapped potential of this beautiful country she now calls home. For her, the three most important factors for success are integrity, passion and keeping dreams alive.

Muhammad Perreira
Muhammad Perreira BSc. is an international I.T and business consultant and has worked extensively in the area of software engineering, blockchain and business development. As Ujima’s Business Development Manager, Muhammad’s main priority is marketing the Ujima brand worldwide and ensuring that our clients are kept updated on our exciting new product developments and investment opportunities. He has lived and worked all over the globe, including numerous countries in Africa and the Middle East, and his extensive experience in sales and marketing, especially in emerging and developing markets, is invaluable.
